Preparation for board certification.
The infection prevention and control program consists of six four-unit, post-baccalaureate courses, collectively designed to provide the fundamental knowledge required of candidates seeking jobs in the field. The curriculum aligns with the evidence-based competency model of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) and serves as a foundation to prepare for the certification exam administered by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC).
