David Pedersen
Dave Pedersen is an accomplished Sustainability and Supply Chain professional. He brings a strong practitioner’s perspective to our program, with a focus on the integration of Sustainability into every corporate function for maximum impact. As the first Corporate Social Responsibility Director at TOMS, Dave developed and implemented Global Sustainable Supply Chain standards and integrated best practices throughout their operations including social compliance and human rights, environmental foot-printing, recyclable products/packaging, and sustainable materials. During this time, he collaborated with industry peers from leading firms including Patagonia, REI, Prana, and The North Face and industry groups such as the Outdoor Industry Association and Sustainable Apparel Coalition.
Dave has additional sustainability experience through roles at Parks Project, Billabong, American Apparel, Golden State Foods and RGP (a global consultancy). Recent sustainability work has included B Corp Certification and Science-Based Targets. As well, he has a keen understanding of ESG finance/investments and their role in both corporate and personal finance realms. Dave serves as Planning Commissioner in Hermosa Beach, California, with a focus on developing a livable and sustainable town. A UCLA Anderson MBA, Dave has previously achieved the certifications of Certified Professional in Supply Management (from the ISM) and LEED Green Associate (from the USGBC).
