About this course:
Gain a broad exposure and intimate knowledge of the business aspects of sustainability through real-world business case studies. Key elements of this course include identifying practical tools, measuring performance and reviewing best practices. Upon completion, you have an understanding of the challenging and often competing interests between businesses and the regulatory, social and technological efforts occurring globally.
Prerequisites
ENVIRON X 400: Principles of Sustainability I: Introduction. If you are currently enrolled in ENVIRON X 400, you will receive conditional permission to enroll but you must receive a grade of “C” or better in ENVIRON X 400 to continue the series.
Required course in Sustainability Certificate. Restricted course. Web enrollments automatically generate a "Permission to Enroll" request.
Enrollment limited. Visitors not permitted. Enrollment deadline: April 6th, 2025. Internet access required.
International Students: This hybrid section is considered in person for immigration purposes.
Enrollment is typically reserved for adult students 18 years of age and older. Students under 18 years of age may receive consent to enroll based on special academic competence and approval by the instructor. If you are a student under 18 years of age, you must submit a request to enroll in the course 8 weeks before the course start date to sustainability@uclaextension.edu for your request to be considered.
