In this hands-on class, students learn product photography for commercial and fine art applications through lectures, demos, and targeted projects.

About this course:
In this hands-on class, students learn product photography for commercial and fine art applications through lectures, demos, and targeted projects. Topics include composition, metering, exposure, lighting, lens, environment, background, and color. Students will practice lighting a variety of shapes and forms to control the appearance of reflection, texture, and shadow, as well as use of continuous flash and natural light sources with bounces and reflectors. Assignments will cover compositing in Photoshop and refining images in Lightroom. Each week students will be responsible for constructing and correcting in-class product photographs, and will complete a series of self-directed projects.This course applies towards the following certificates & specializations…
