Early Childhood Education Program Update

Two New ECE Certificates Launch

In Summer 2020, UCLA Extension launched two new Early Childhood Education (ECE) certificates, replacing the original ECE Basic Core Certificate.

The new certificates are aligned with California Commission on Credentialing (CTC) child development permit course requirements and meet current content and social needs in the field.

The two new certificates are:

ECE Course Equivalents

The Early Childhood Basic Core Certificate is no longer accepting new students.

If you have taken courses in the original program, here are the new course equivalents:
