Justin Paul

Justin Paul is an award-winning creative director, DJ, record producer, label founder, and music industry educator with over 20 years of experience in the music business, academia, media arts, and future-forward projects. 

 

Directing award-winning videos, co-founding multiple record labels, playing thousands of DJ performances, and managing partnerships with top brands created opportunities to specialize in A&R, creative direction, music production, touring, and video/film. 

 

Justin Paul has directed over fifty record releases, and several broke into the Beatport Top 10 charts. Plus, he's signed over a dozen artists to the Playloop and Underground Sol rosters achieving millions of streams and selling 30K+ album & song downloads. Carl Cox's Global Sessions BBC Radio One show, KCRW & KXLU FM Los Angeles, WKDU FM Philadelphia, SiriusXM, and many more have featured his original music and DJ sets. 

Justin Paul also shares the stage with many legendary DJs and electronic acts—AIR, Deadmau5, DJ Colette, Disco Biscuits, Josh Wink, King Britt, LCD Soundsystem, Orbital, Prodigy, Rusko, Squarepusher, Thievery Corporation, Trentemøller, Zero 7, and many more. As one of the founding DJs and producers of the PEX (The Philadelphia Experiment) artist collective, Justin Paul co-produced and performed at over thirty forward-thinking events, all while establishing strategic partnerships with Live Nation and the Camp Bisco Festival. 

In 2015, Justin Paul co-founded Underground Sol, which releases electronic, nudisco, indie dance, world music, and ambient releases. Featured artists include Iyeoka, The Model (band), and Justin Paul's "How Long" remake reached number 1 on the Nu-Disco Beatport chart. Justin Paul's other accolades include creative partnerships with The W Hotel, Hangout Music Festival, Filifera Hollywood, and having his album featured on American Airlines and Delta Air Lines inflight entertainment channels. 

Besides his artistic, creative, and executive endeavors, Justin brings his dynamic experience to universities creating & consulting on music industry program curricula and teaching digital media, music business, production, and technology courses to bolster the next generation of artists, creatives, executives, musicians, and professionals.

Justin Paul teaches the A&R: Making Music From Acquisition to Release, Touring & Merchandise, and the DJ As Music Producer courses in the UCLAx Entertainment Arts & Music Business Certificate Programs.

Justin graduated from West Virginia University with a Master of Arts in Music Business & Industry and an RBA degree (Radio/TV/Film) from Marshall University.
