Steve Rothstein
Steve Rothstein, PhD is active as a composer and music instructor in the Los Angeles area. He received his Ph.D in Music Composition from the University of California, Los Angeles (2006), where he also completed his M.A. and B.A. Dr. Rothstein has written numerous works for orchestra, chamber ensembles, wind ensemble, choral groups, and art songs. His works have been performed by the American Youth Symphony, UCLA Philharmonia, UC Irvine Symphony, Redlands Symphony, Bratislava Studio Orchestra, and the New York Master Chorale. Dr. Rothstein has taught theory and compositions at numerous music schools including Los Angeles Valley College, Santa Monica College, California State Long Beach, California, and California State Dominguez Hills. He currently teaches at UCLA Extension’s prestigious Film Scoring Program where he received the Distinguished Instructor Award in 2013. He also serves as the Artistic Director of the Judaic Sacred Music Foundation.
