About this course:

Mediterranean landscapes have been burning for thousands of years. Nothing will change that in the foreseeable future. In fact, just the opposite—these landscapes will burn at greater frequency and ferocity. Join land management specialist Douglas Kent as he shares the strategies for property protection. Kent will cover the essentials of fire protection: structures, defensible space, and the role of plants in protection. Kent is the author of the best-selling book on fire protection, teaches at UCLA Extension, and has been working to create fire-protected properties since 1994.
