About this course:

This course will provide the fundamental knowledge required to support an Infection Prevention department in the healthcare settings. The course modules will enhance the knowledge of Infection Prevention Professionals (IPP) with non-clinical backgrounds by providing key clinical practice concepts. Students will gain an advanced understanding of how IPPs are better able to identify infection risks in the clinical settings, along with providing IPP mitigation strategies targeted for clinicians. Students will be exposed to fundamental clinical practices performed in the hospital environment, host susceptibility, environmental hygiene and clinical considerations for transmission based precautions.
