Studio Practice: Advanced Painting Techniques and Concept Development

Using a variety of media, students work toward creating a studio practice and body of work that portrays their formal and intellectual concerns.

- Work on painting projects of your own design, with conceptual guidance from your instructor
- Expand your practices in a multi-faceted approach
- Engage in an ongoing dialog including two critiques where you present your work to the class
About this course:
Learn to use a variety of media, materials, and concepts to develop your work. This class is designed to help students enhance their ideas and technical skills. Through group critiques, lectures, and individual meetings, students will work towards creating a studio practice and body of work that more accurately, and fully, portrays their formal and intellectual concerns. All styles are welcome, though prior experience is necessary.
Prerequisites
ART X 5D Beginning Painting: Acrylics, or equivalent experience.
