Thomas Shimanek

Thomas Shimanek has over 20 years of production experience in live events, having worked as a camera operator, technical director/director, and producer on a variety of productions for various corporations. “I’ve always found ‘live’ productions so exciting because you only get one chance to get the shot right, there are no ‘do overs’ in a live show.”

Thomas has a BFA in Film Production from Chapman University, as well as an MA in Career & Technical Education from Concordia University and a MA in Advanced Film and Media Studies from Arizona State University. He has taught a variety of film courses including Film History, Pre-Production, Production, and Post-Production courses at the post-secondary level.

In his spare time, Thomas enjoys hanging out with his wife and children, going to Disneyland, hiking, and building LEGO.
