Build a foundation for success

a male and female civil engineer

If you enjoy the intellectual challenges of architecture, engineering, technology, and business, yet long to be in the thick of things and produce a tangible result—something of lasting value—consider a career in construction management.

Program Change

Beginning Summer 2024, our Construction Management offerings now consists of two certificate programs with the following unique features and benefits:

Construction Management Certificate

  • This program consists of five core courses with no electives.
  • This accelerated pathway is tailored for students seeking a more streamlined approach to completing the program with more flexibility and efficiency. This option condenses certain components of the curriculum while still delivering essential skills required for success in the field.

Construction Management Extended Certificate

  • This program consists of five required courses and three electives.
  • This pathway offers in-depth coverage of essential topics in construction management plus a comprehensive range of subjects. This option ensures a thorough understanding of the complexities and work of various trades within the field.

The Construction Management Core Specialization has been discontinued.
________

Existing Students who declared candidacy before Summer 2024 will continue in their original program and remain unaffected with these changes. Specifically:

  • Students in the original Construction Management Certificate can complete their program in the original 8-course configuration and graduate with the Construction Management Certificate to which they originally applied.
  • Students in the Construction Management Core Specialization can complete their program in the original 4-course configuration and graduate with the original Construction Management Core Specialization award of completion.
