About This Course

This course will be an introduction to the legal, ethical, & professional implications for Medical Assistant Practice. Course will include discussions on relevant topics including scope of practice, HIPPA rules, the Patient Bill or Rights and Criminal and Civil law as they apply to the medical assistant. Students will also receive specialized training of the concepts of effective patient communication with patients, including concepts of health coaching, and colleagues.
