Lillian Pimentel-Stratton

Dr. Lily Pimentel-Stratton has been an early childhood education instructor for adult learners for several decades. She has taught a wide range of child development courses for over two decades at several colleges, including both faculty and departmental chair duties in her list of accomplishments.  She also has significant experience as a consultant to various community-based organizations offering early childhood education programs and teachers technical assistance and curriculum consultation.

Outside the halls of traditional academia, Dr. Pimentel-Stratton has a long history of working with the culturally diverse students employed in the Migrant sector in California’s Central Valley through her service as a consultant, facilitator and educator to various groups serving the Migrant centers.  In addition to her role as a professor, Dr. Pimentel-Stratton currently serves several early childhood education organizations including the Early Childcare Council of Kern, the Child Development Conference Committee, as well as sitting on the Board of Directors for Community Action Partnership of Kern.

Dr. Pimentel-Stratton is dedicated to providing adult learners with the tools and knowledge to allow them to achieve their goals, all while ensuring that the ultimate goal that those learners can incorporate this knowledge into their interactions with the children under their tutelage and care.
