Instructor Statement:
Storytelling is an essential part of our lives. Whether in a job interview, a first date, around a dinner table - it's how we connect, how we find community, how we grow, how we learn. I teach the art of storytelling as it pertains to TV at every stage of the production process, but these skills transcend this class. I believe strongly that some people are innate storytellers, and some people aren't - but that everyone can learn essential skills which can improve their writing and storytelling and will prove invaluable to their career as a television professional, whether that's as a writer, a producer, a director, an editor. Loglines, elevator pitches, treatments, bibles, pilots - we'll touch on everything, hopefully forming our own supportive community and connection along the way.
