
Meredith Chinn
With over 30 years of experience in the music industry, Meredith Chinn has built a distinguished career in A&R, working with top record labels and music publishing companies and developing some of the most influential artists of our time. Known for a keen ear and an unparalleled ability to spot and nurture talent, Meredith has played a pivotal role in the success of multi-platinum artists such as Beck and AWOLNATION, international talents like Cornershop, Roisin Murphy, and Loreena McKennitt, and has developed dozens of artists and writers including multi-platinum, Grammy award-winning Greg Kurstin, Grammy-nominated Mikky Ekko and John Feldman, BPI Silver and Platinum artist Twin Atlantic, as well as emerging talents like Max Frost, BENNETT, Abir, and many more. Ms. Chinn received a plaque when AWOLNATION and their song “Sail” reached Diamond Status in 2021.
Meredith has held influential positions at major labels such as Warner Bros. Records, Atlantic Records, and Red Bull Records, and is the founder of Fingerpaint Records. In addition to their A&R accomplishments, Meredith holds a Bachelor's degree in Music from Louisiana State University, where they graduated from the School of Music.
Beyond record labels, Meredith has a diverse portfolio as a music composer, with notable works featured in the independent documentary film ("Bomb It" 2008), television ("Kimora Lee Simmons Show" 2007 & 2008), and commercials (Hewlett-Packard's "Hands", featuring artist, Jay-Z, 2006). Meredith is also a published author, with her co-written piece, “I-Ambient” from "The Gen X Reader" (1994). Also, as a record producer, co-producing the album, “Tonight and Forever” by the artist Sense Field for Nettwerk Recordings (2002), and as a Radio DJ for KCRW-FM, Santa Monica and Dublab, online as well as various club DJ gigs, including, a 9-year weekly residency at The Standard Hotel, Hollywood. Meredith has most recently become a Grammy voting member.
