About this course:
Engr 205 Model-Based Systems Engineering (Instructor: Prof. Hecht, M.) Lecture, four hours; outside study, eight hours. Model-based systems engineering ((MBSE) and systems modeling language (SysML) taught through lectures and readings, individual projects, and one group project. Lectures and readings to provide students with conceptual framework and vocabulary. Individual projects enable students to develop basic skills for creating SysML requirements and structural and behavioral diagrams. In group project students learn how to package, compartmentalize, and integrate smaller efforts while being constrained to meet schedules. Industry-recognized credentials may be obtained, as course covers Object Management Group (OMG) Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) tests, such as Model User and Model Builder Fundamentals and Model Builder Intermediate.
