Jon Fischer

Jon T. Fischer is an accomplished Journalist and News Executive with a distinguished, award-winning career. He has held various leadership roles in newsrooms across the country, including serving as a consultant for Clear Channel Television stations and overseeing the development of news facilities at KCOP-TV in Los Angeles and FOX-29/WFTC in Minneapolis. Jon led newsrooms as Director of Local Program Development and News at FOX 29, Minneapolis & ABC 4, Salt Lake City, and as News Director at NBC 6, Palm Springs & XETV in San Diego. He has also served as the Assistant News Director at KTLA-TV in Los Angeles and Assistant News Director and Director of News Operations at KCOP in Los Angeles.

As the technical manager for ABC News, Western Region, Fischer was responsible for overseeing technical resources in Los Angeles, Denver, and San Francisco bureaus. Additionally, he was dispatched to set up technical and editorial facilities for breaking news events around the world.

Jon has been recognized for excellence with multiple Emmys from NATAS and ATAS, as well as Golden Mikes from the Los Angeles Radio Television News Association and awards of distinction from APTRA and the Los Angeles Press Club. Currently, Jon is consulting Broadcast and Media Production companies.
