UCLA Extension Accounting and Taxation Scholarship
- Each scholarship award provides up to $5,000 to be applied to course fees in the UCLA Extension Accounting Certificate, Taxation Certificate, or Internal Audit Certificate.
- The scholarship is not transferable and expires after two (2) years of the award date.
- No cash award will be given. Unused scholarship amounts will remain in the scholarship fund to be used for future Accounting and Taxation Scholarship recipients.
- Submitted applications that are incomplete, late, or from ineligible students will not be considered for an award.
- Multiple submissions will not be reviewed. Applications will not be returned.
- The applicant selected for the scholarship will be notified via email.
- The scholarship recipient may utilize their award to offset course fees beginning the following quarter.
- The applicant must have completed a bachelor’s degree with a graduating GPA of 3.0 (recommended).
- At the time of scholarship application, students must be currently enrolled in and have paid the candidacy fee for the Accounting Certificate (CE0654), Taxation Certificate (CE0059), or Internal Audit Certificate (CE0531).
- Applicants must meet all prerequisites of the certificates and must have completed the first four courses of the Accounting Certificate/Internal Audit Certificate or the first two courses of the Taxation Certificate.
- Applications must be received by the deadline shown and ONLY via the online application portal.
- Eligibility criteria for all final candidates will be checked and confirmed by UCLA Extension.
- UCLA and UCLA Extension employees and family members or dependents are not eligible to apply.
- Applicants who have been previously awarded an Accounting and Taxation Scholarship may not re-apply.
2025 Scholarship Timeline
Application Period: September 19 - November 9, 2025 by 11:59pm PT
Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted. No exceptions.
Applicants selected for a scholarship will be notified by email. Scholarship recipients can utilize their awards to offset course fees beginning with the Winter 2026 quarter and for up to two years from their award date.
