About This Course

The Nazis interned many of Europe's finest musicians in concentration camps. In an effort to survive and with the hope for a better future, some of them composed their best works and some conducted impressive performances that involved hundreds of inmates. In this course, we discover a lost generation of world class talent—including Viktor Ullman, Pavel Haas, Gideon Klein and Raphael Schachter—and the strength of the human spirit. This course will be recorded. Students will have access to the video for 30 days.
