About This Course
Cosmology and astronomy are interdisciplinary sciences that often overlap and complement each other. In this course, we combine the insights gained from both disciplines to achieve a deeper understanding of the Universe and our place in it. We explore current cosmological theories about how the Universe evolved from its primordial stages—including the Big Bang—to the present, and its potential future of either continuous expansion into darkness or a catastrophic crunch. We also look at tribal myths that incorporated celestial phenomena to explain the mysterious occurrences of the sky-world overhead.
