About This Course

Pilates is a low-impact exercise that focuses on strengthening muscles while improving flexibility, mobility, and posture. However, it can be intimidating especially if one has been inactive or never exercised. In this course, we learn modified Pilates movements while sitting in a chair, using a TheraBand (or a towel, belt, strap or scarf), 1-2 lbs. weights (or water bottle, soup cans), and your amazing body. Always consult a doctor about any pain or injury before engaging in any exercise. Students must sign a waiver before participating.
