Deputy director at Red Hen Press, editor and founder of Quill (a queer publishing series of Red Hen Press); publisher of The Los Angeles Review; and public speaker on queer literature, editing, and publishing.  

Instructor Statement

Publishing and editing are collaborative processes in which a team accomplishes a collective goal and my online classroom is no different. We learn together and from each other as well as from the readings and work we accomplish. I seek to teach each student how their skills and goals can best be applied in the practical world of publishing and editing while encouraging a team mindset that allows for greater success and collaboration. Students of any level of experience will gain a deeper understanding of editing and publishing as a whole and enjoy the freedom to choose specific projects that best suit their areas of interest.
