Therese Zarlengo
Therese Zarlengo is a meteorologist with 34 years of service to the National Weather Service and experience teaching undergraduate and graduate level Climate Change and Environmental Sciences courses. Ms. Zarlengo received her MS in Water Resources from the University of Wyoming, her BS in Meteorology from Metropolitan State College Denver, and her BA in Earth Sciences from University of Northern Colorado.
Through the World Meteorological Organization, Ms. Zarlengo has collaborated with the international community on a variety of issues regarding international marine and public weather policies, common practices and capacity building. Domestically, she collaborated with other government agencies and national organizations to meet the marine, tropical cyclone, public, tsunami and aviation weather needs of the U.S.
Therese has been teaching courses in Environmental Sciences and Climate Change since 2015. Ms. Zarlengo is the recipient of the Department of Commerce Gold and Bronze Medals, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Administrator’s Award.
