Sydney Matthes
As a first generation college student, Sydney Matthes first discovered her passion for the field of higher education as a student intern in the undergraduate admissions office at West Virginia University. Throughout her career, she has supported students on several sides of the post-secondary desk to include working as an IEC, and a public school based college counselor. Sydney gained her admissions experience as an Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission at George Washington University, where she also earned a Masters in Higher Education Administration. In addition to her role as a UCLA instructor, she is currently the Chief Program Officer at Service to School, a college access non-profit supporting military members and veterans on their journey to and through higher education.
Ms. Matthes is a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling and serves on the National College Attainment Network Advisory Taskforce
