Roza Babayan

I am a CPA with a background in both public and governmental accounting. I began my professional journey at PwC as an auditor, where I gained valuable experience working with various clients and industries. I later transitioned to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) to pursue a better work-life balance and deepen my expertise in governmental accounting. My path to accounting began at Glendale Community College, where I worked as a student assistant in the accounting department. That experience sparked my interest in the field and eventually led me to earn my bachelor's degree in accounting from California State University, Northridge (CSUN). I later earned my MBA from the University of Southern California (USC), further expanding my knowledge in business and leadership. As an instructor, I strive to create a supportive, engaging learning environment that connects textbook knowledge with real-world practice. I believe students benefit most when they understand the "why" behind the numbers, and can apply what they learn to real-life situations. I am a proud mother of three. A deep appreciation for education, opportunity, and community has shaped my personal and professional journey.
