Monica Dimson

Monica Dimson teaches for both UCLA Extension and the UCLA Department of Geography, from which she received her PhD. She is also a media communication specialist for UC Agriculture and Natural Resources, where she develops science outreach and extension content in collaboration with various researchers and agencies. Her own research utilizes GIS and remote sensing techniques for habitat suitability modeling, invasive species management, and to explore applications for citizen science in biodiversity monitoring.
