Marziyeh Haghighat

Dr. Marziyeh Haghighat graduated from the University of Georgia with a Ph.D. in Plant Biology. Since 2017, she has been teaching General Biology and General Botany at Mt San Antonio College and Santa Monica College. Marziyeh received extensive training through the UCLA Faculty Learning Program (FLP), the Association for College and University Educators (ACUE), and the Online Network of Educators (@ONE) to create an inclusive, more equitable learning environment for her students. She uses a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different types of learners. In her free time, Marziyeh likes to play with her son, hike, or go to the beach and enjoy nature.
