Brian Ghajar

Brian Ghajar is a seasoned project controls expert with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. As the Design and Controls Director at UMP (United Master Planners), he specializes in keeping complex construction projects on time and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards. Brian's expertise lies in utilizing Primavera scheduling tools for planning, scheduling, and controls on multi-million-dollar EPC/EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management) and Design-Build projects. His core proficiencies include project planning and management, construction estimating and budgeting, cost control and resource planning, risk analysis and progress monitoring, earned value management, and time Impact Analysis. With a strong ability to assess and validate project performance, Brian is well-versed in industry-standard software, particularly Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel. He also possesses an excellent working knowledge of SAP, making him a versatile asset in project controls. His unique background spans civil construction, power transmission and distribution, and building projects, allowing him to bring a wealth of expertise to every project he undertakes.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering providing a solid technical foundation. His expertise in project management is reinforced by certificates in Project Management from The University of British Columbia and Primavera P6 from CPM Solutions Inc. His proficiency in construction estimation is supported by a certificate from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. His business acumen is enhanced by an Executive Business Management certificate from the Industrial Management Institute and a Certificate in Organizational Behavior.
