About this course:
This workshop will introduce participants to the tenets of CRT (Critical Race Theory) and help students understand how critical theories (such as CRT, Racial Formation, and the use of Racial Projects), can explain, and unpack, the role that institutions play in promoting and sustaining white supremacist structures and systems. Special attention will be given to understanding the role of schools and education policy/practices in precipitating racial inequity.
Join a community of individuals ages 50+ for enriching in-person, remote and hybrid lecture courses, discussion groups, seminars, creativity and movement classes, and more. Members of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) have access to noncredit UCLA programs, plus free non-academic events, such as museum tours and movie screenings.
