About This Course

This course is an exploration of why people and the organizations they work in struggle to embrace or execute change initiatives and what managerial-leaders can do about it. Many leaders primarily focus on analytics and decision-making, but more often than not change initiatives fail as a result of ignoring emotional processes in the system. It is easier for leadership to create a sense of urgency about the need for change than it is to build a safe environment in which people can change. Emphasis will be placed on a key role of a leader when it comes to change–being a non-anxious presence.
