Introduction to Drawing and Sketching

About this course:

This introductory course covers basic drawing concepts and techniques. Instruction includes shape, form, value, perspective, and edge control. Students will watch demos and get hands-on practice in still-life drawing, gesture drawing on figures and face, and outdoor sketching exercises. Class emphasizes developing a daily drawing practice, encouraging students to grow their artistic vision and lay a foundation for future creative pursuits.
