This course is designed to provide a comprehensive, hands-on understanding of export documentation and procedures, including banking, insurance, and logistics. It covers the entire export transaction process, from initiation to the receipt of payment. Key topics include costing, quotations, Incoterms, landbridge and logistics issues, bills of lading, marine insurance, letters of credit, maritime law, contracts, and business structures (such as Corporations and LLCs). Additionally, it addresses correspondence through both traditional and high-tech means, export requirements from the USA, and the essentials of establishing an export operation within the USA. The course offers a depth of knowledge beyond the Fundamentals of International Trade course.
