Beginning January 2024, the CPA Exam will consist of a three-part core exam as well as a career-focused assessment in one of the following areas: Information Systems and Controls, Tax Compliance and Planning or Business Analysis and Reporting.

The UCLA Extension four-course Business Analysis and Reporting specialization was created to cover subject matter in the associated CPA Career Exam, including data analytics/analysis, reportable segments and state/local government liabilities.

Receive hands-on experience in a computer lab on how to best utilize enterprise business software, often referred to as ERP Systems or Automated Accounting packages.

This is the first course in the 2-course Advanced Accounting sequence and covers intercompany transactions; partially owned subsidiaries; and parent company vs. entity theory valuation of minority interest in subsidiaries.
