About this course:
Traditional poetic forms are among the oldest traditions in written language. While free verse has come to dominate our current era, poetic forms offer practical challenges to writing and revising poetry. Students will write in traditional forms from the past to examine their own contemporary experiences by learning to wrangle and tame meter, rhyme and other elements of repetition. Students will read and learn about poetry and poetics to guide their creative expression. By the end of the course, students will be able to identify, discuss and write poetry in traditional poetic forms.Corporate Education
