Vickie Bates fell in love with Russian Bank when she was barely tall enough to peek over the family card table. Her mother and grandmother were her first teachers, imparting the joy and craft of the game. Four decades later, she’s a seasoned player who delights in sharing this addictive card game with others. Her day job, helping employees navigate times of change, has taken her from jeans (Levi’s) to genes (Amgen) with a stint in UCLA IT. Most recently, she’s been an M&A change leader for a global consultancy. A mentor, conference speaker, and instructor in communications best practices, now she’s combining her knack for coaching with her love of games to share the excitement of Russian Bank with card-game enthusiasts.
