Gena Lester

Dr. Gena Lester is a college admissions expert with over 30 years of experience, a strategic business coach, speaker and author. She is both a Wall Street Journal and New York Times best-selling author. She is not only a thought leader in the college admissions space, but she also helps educators-turned-entrepreneurs go from conception to thriving business owners. Her education background is steeped in both education and psychology which culminated to a double Masters in Higher Education & I/O psychology, a Ph.D. & a Doctorate. Dr. Gena developed the “U-Niquely-U” formula which she uses to help teens find their perfect college fit as well as entrepreneurs find their passions and be more successful on their journey.

Dr. Gena started her private college admissions consulting practice in 2011 after a long career in the private sector. Prior to starting her own practice, she was the founder of a college prep private school. As a strategic business coach and entrepreneur, she has worked with countless education business, schools and consultants to start, grow and scale their businesses. She is a firm believer that learning is a lifelong journey, and it is never too late to step your next phase of life. Her favorite part of working with students young and old is seeing them reach their goals.

Dr. Gena is a professional member of IECA, HECA, NACAC. NCAG and TACAC. Currently she serves as a board member for NCAG. She has been a presenter for IECA, HECA, and NCAG. Dr. Gena has been featured on ABC and FOX news as an expert in the industry, plus she has spoken on multiple podcast both in the education and business space.
