Emmely Aquino
Emmely Aquino has dedicated her entire career to academic counseling and the college counseling profession. In her role as a school & academic counselor, she supports high school students in establishing educational opportunities of equity and culturally responsive practices to promote each student's academic success and well-being. Additionally, Emmely works closely with her caseload of students to identify best-fit schools and help future applicants compile applications that showcase their strengths in the best light possible. Over the course of her career, Emmely has worked in several areas of school and college counseling including as a college admissions officer, financial aid counselor, career services counselor, and an academic advisor.
Emmely is a graduate of California State University, Northridge (BA & MA, School Counseling, K-12), the University of California San Diego (College Counseling), and Loyola Marymount University (Child Welfare and Attendance Certificate). She is passionate about equity and access to higher education. Emmely enjoys mentoring teens and supporting students who are the first in their families to attend college.
